State agricultural crediting in the USSR during the NEP

Background. The article attempts to use new sources identified in the fund of the USSR People’s Commissariat of Finance, the Russian State Archive of Economics (RSAE), etc., to show the process of state agricultural crediting sector of the USSR during the NEP period. Materials and methods. The scientific problem is implemented in the article on the basis of the analysis of archival documents previously unknown to researchers in the RSAE. The new knowledge on the history of state agricultural crediting in Russia is the scientific novelty of the article. Results. It is shown that in the first half of the 1920s. In the USSR, the state agricultural crediting system of the economic sector was successfully operating, in lending preference was given to low-power farms. From the second half of the 1920s. Collective and state farms, as well as measures to create state food funds became the priority objects of lending. Conclusions. Agricultural crediting sector of the USSR economy was an important tool for its recovery and development in the first half of the 1920s. An efficient crediting mechanism was created, which had undoubted potential, provided it was preserved and improved.
